11/19/20: More About Goals and Stuff.

I pretty much always find myself getting my act together and producing fairly well for a week or two or even a month or two an then falling apart. It happens every single time. It just happened again. There has been no production in about a week or so on all my accounts.

Usually when I fall off, it is because I’m not feeling well and I just zone out for a day or two and then I can’t seem to get refocused again for some time. That’s kind of what happened this week. The weather changed, my allergies acted up and I just didn’t feel like doing anything. There needs to be a solution; some sort of safety measure…

Scheduling is the key to success.

The key to success is not that complicated. I already know how to fix this problem and it is as simple as just adhering to a schedule. To Do lists are pretty much useless for anything other than a place to save things that need to be scheduled. Anyway, besides this blog, I have laid out a schedule to produce things for the other accounts. This account is just a daily blog, so the point is that I’m just blogging or vlogging every day about what I’m doing or thinking. This account is actually more for me than anything. I’d love to interact with other people, but I just find value in this for myself.

Blender/ CAD

This is a fundamental tool that I really need to be able to create the things I want to create. From video editing to producing swing arms for ATVs and anything else, Blender can make it happen. It really is stunning that we can have a tool that is this powerful and that it is Open Source to boot. On top of that, it is one of the most heavily developed pieces of software with an extraordinary amount of corporate funding.

For the rest of the winter, I will be working on Blender every single morning for a good hour or two each morning.

I get up early and I like to sit at the computer and veg. From now on, I will be working on learning and mastering Blender. I’m going to start out with MakerTale’s Precision Drawing Course. It is the way to do CAD-like work in Blender.
