01-02-22: New Year Update. Two Weeks to Launch all Accounts.

Happy new year!

My main resolution for this year is to continue working on balancing my desire to have too many irons in the fire. Yes, I know that is not a recommended way to success, but I have put a lot of time and effort into designing these potentially ill-conceived and unorthodox notions.

Logically, everything should work well together, but I can be a very lazy person after I spend the time and energy to accomplish my day job of shoeing horses. I feel there is a lot to be said about that, but the moral of the story is that the horse industry is crashing hard and honestly so am I. I’ve been doing it for over 30 years and I do still love it, but at the same time, I’m tired of it. I can explain what I mean by that on the farrier site some other time.

The short story is that it’s very much overdue time to get my act together to create something else. The good news is that a lot of time and effort has actually gone into getting that.

Steelbak, DiggnDeeper.com and Flying-Higher.com are to be my future, and its time to act like it. The way to make that happen is to put them first now instead of shoeing horses, and that is what I’m doing from now on.

Keep Focused On The Brand.

This site and the associated Hive account is sort of more of a personal account, so I talk about my other accounts from here, but I also need to try to stay consistent with my goals for this specific endeavor.

  • ATV Builds: Building, modding and selling ATV’s and dirt bikes. This is already progressing into building custom parts and packages for the industry as well as putting out content in a YouTuber fashion, but focusing on better platforms like #Hive and #Odysee will be the core platforms to build on.
  • Open Source Ecology Builds: From tools like 3D printers and Plasma Tables to machines like Skid Steers and so much more, I intend to do a lot more with this project. This will be something that I will use this account for the logs and builds and Makers.DiggnDeeper.com for the documentation and such.
  • 3D Modeling, Animation & CAD: Increasing skills in these areas is necessary to be able to accomplish the goals above. I am using all open source tools like Blender and FreeCAD, but I also plan to use UnrealEngine5. I think I have a really interesting plan. I’m starting to get good!
  • Fabrication and Mechanic Setup: I continue to (as carefully as possible) invest in the tools and organization stuff needed to do the work.

And Other Brands…

I’m well aware that I have a lot to work on, with this (Steelbak.com) @Steelbak account, (DiggnDeeper.com) @DiggnDeeper.com, the now dormant (Flying-Higher.com) @flyinghigher and my original passion and profession, (FarrierServices.net) @Farrier.Services.

Consistent Content Creation.

This is clearly my biggest challenge. I continue blaming that on having to make a living shoeing horses and being a bit lazy, but there really are no excuses now that the slow season is here.

I have the tools. I have a great set of web tools, a wicked nice laptop and top shelf audio/ video equipment. We can afford to what we want (just not everything we want). Anyway, the point is only that this is a perfect time to go for it.

Start Slowly and Build From Here.

The biggest mistake I could make is to get carried away, especially considering the scope of my goals. It’s doable, I’m sure of it, especially if I just keep things simple, on target and consistent. These next two weeks are going to be pivotal and should give me enough time to prepare for a launch.

I have a lot of building and polishing to do, so off I go. Wish me luck.
