Warn 95060

Hubs went out in Dec of 2025 when I tried to engage 4×4, which has been clunky to engage since then. They started making a “whirring” sound. I just kept working and tried to ignore it, the whole time a bit concerned about it possibly being transmission.

Even though I was incorrectly concerned, I did just had the transmission serviced by Fugi’s in Dec, so I also thought is was the drive train somewhere. Obviously, I was confused.

More like I just didn’t take the effort to think it through well enough.

Then, heading to work on Feb 14, the trasmission light came on, so of course I thought I had my answer.

Also at this time:

* Transmission problems

I also got an unrelated P012F (transmission light came on) and I had been concerned that this might be transmission, but not anymore.

* And weak batteries

Tested to 12.4V resting and I new they were weak. I had been putting my Noco Genius charger on them when it was down in the single digits and below for a few weeks and at least I got through that before I put nice fresh ones in.

Weak batteries can cause all sorts of issues, so we just went ahead and replaced them.

Back to the Hubs.

Installation:

Remember to put them in “Free”

You may have to tun the drive shaft or wheel?

Do either of the following with the existing lines:

  • Pull IWE fuse #28 in engine bay fuse box
  • If the lines look bad or you just want to delete them, cap off lines with provided caps. You can use 1/8 or 1/4″ pipe ends for a better job?

IWE = Integrated Wheel End

This is Ford’s name for their vacuum-actuated front hub system.
